This walk-thru combination Laundry and Butler’s Pantry is the most common path from the Bedroom wing and Kitchen to the Family Room, Guest Suite, Home Office and Garage. It needs to be good looking as well as hard working!
The hard working part...Laundry, staged and folded. The doors slide in beside the washer and dryer and can be closed when the machines are operating...making the quiet machines even quieter!
and more hard working parts…Much of the entertaining platters and necessities are stored here. Great use of space for deep tall areas. The tall cabinet in the background right is more deep storage in the former home of the furnace. A new unit was installed in the attic when its predecessor died in the early stages of construction on this project. To the right, a glimpse of the wine cooler and counter. Great landing spot for when they arrive home from work. We set up a cell phone charging station and a mail slot organizer inside the wall cabinets to keep the counter free from clutter. Base cabinets were setup for larger items…briefcases, backpacks, etc.
The view from the Family Room doorway to the kitchen…Front and center are shallow tall cabinets. Room for kitchen backup storage, vases, off season decor, etc. A pleasant walk to the kitchen, wouldn’t you agree?
